It was pretty tough. I mean, I didn't know anything about MS, really. Honestly, I started crying 'cause I just saw myself in ten years in a wheelchair and not being able to take care of myself. That's why, you know, I really had to learn about MS. Get up to speed on what it is.

I'm not in a wheelchair – I got a cane. You know, the first 3 ½ years of being diagnosed with relapsing MS, I felt great. You have to look forward. You gotta look to that future.

My goals really all surround being there for my family. I want to be able to contribute, to be able to walk my daughters down the aisle. Now they're only, what, 14 and 12 – they got a long way to go, so I got a long way to go to keep walking and I'm gonna make sure I am there to walk them down the aisles, 'cause that is what is important to me as well.

You have to keep fighting. You have to keep going – don't ever give up.
